Hugelkultur is a gardening and farming technique developed by Austrian farmer and forester Sepp Holzer.

The basic idea behind Hugelkultur is to create raised garden beds using logs and woody debris as a foundation. The logs and woody debris are covered with soil and compost, and then planted with crops.
